David Settlemyer

Hi great looking tool, but curious you paragraph in this article that says "New road and highway design capabilities for Autodesk InfraWorks will help civil engineers and designers optimize their design process, speed project delivery and reduce costs by tapping into a new cloud-based service that automates engineering calculation and designs. This enables engineers and designers to develop engineering models in 3D from the start to help confirm scope, budget and schedule. These capabilities are the first in a series of modules that will expand the functionality of Autodesk InfraWorks for select industry segments. ". Cost optimizing and cloud based services interest me, but when i watched the video and looked at images all I show was IM in a new package. Can you give me more detail around the cloud based services and optimization.

Thanks and have a great easter

Hi David, we have a comprehensive online resource (http://docs.autodesk.com/ICD/2014/ENU/index.html?url=files/GUID-47B265F3-267C-453E-A641-CA0A817BF023.htm,topicNumber=d30e507,hash=GUID-4158AA5C-24B9-4398-847F-D03ACE8CB4B7) for you to explore that provides a wealth of details regarding Autodesk InfraWorks 2014 (formerly Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler), including cloud-based services, etc. At this site you will find a new features outline, a getting started with Autodesk InfraWorks guide, a set of video tutorials, a user help section and glossary. This resource should provide the detail you need.
